GEEKY GUY COMICS VERDICT:
As like in number 1, this issue is so well written. I’m a big of @tomtaylormade, his writing isn’t always that innovating and he isn’t doing things that are entirely unique to this story, but he has wrote a seriously solid, tight script, and he makes it look so easy. Its clear for everyone to see that the team working on this comic are totally united as the narrative and images throughout the entire comic result in a greatly impactful final product that not only looks fantastic but reads easy as well. With the introduction of Aquaman in the opening sequence and infected people falling off the ship, into the water, sinking, its this straight to the point art and writing that sees this comic doing well at what its trying to do, grab your attention, draw you in and make you feel part of the action and horror unfolding. I loved Aquaman’s scene and feel that it was a great way to open this issue as it serves as a gory reminder of how f*@%ed up the current situation is in the DCU. Even far out at sea, people (and heroes) aren’t safe from the virus.
After the first issue I couldn’t wait to read this. Did it disappoint? HELL NO!!! I’m I’m seriously enjoying the DCeased run so and this issue is no different, great twist and turns, great art to look at and another good read. As I read and review more and more comics I find myself looking at the details put into every scene and this comic has some seriously details pieces. Now as many of you know I’m a huge Harley Quinn fan so anything with her in it is an instant hit. One of my favourite parts in this issue is when Ivy and Harley are introduced, it may only be a small part but these two are great together. In my opinion, if there is one constant throughout DC comics over the years this is it! I’d love to see them have another solo comic…@DC i’m talking to you lol, who’s going to join the campaign??? If there is one criticism I have though, and its only a small one but the connectivity and flow between certain scenes is lacking, which results in part of this comic reading more like a collection of scenes rather than a continued story. I have no doubt that these scenes in question will be revisited in the next issues and made more relevant However, the action, the dialogue, the artwork and especially the emotion within the final cliffhanger more than make up for this shortcoming. P.S. Without giving any spoilers the part with Black Canary is FRICKING AWESOME!!!!!!
